Every organization is guided by its values. In the final analysis, then, what an organization values most is seen in its products.
Often, however, organizations are not clear on their values. No one seems to be interested in making them known or making them “work.” Values frequently seem to come and go, change or disappear, become insignificant or lose their importance, are no longer “politically correct” or are diluted depending because leaders refuse to be bold and sake a stand for what is right and just and fair and honest. Frequently those entrusted with “managing” the quality of the “products” lose their commitment to maintain the integrity of the organization and its values are no longer important or transferred to its products.
Strange as it may seem to some GBC has a very special “product.” Our “product” is to “train disciples, who in turn will make other disciples.” And we will not produce God-honoring, Christ-exalting and Spirit-filled disciples unless our values clearly defined and carefully specified for all to know, understand, accept and follow at every level in the Institute.
For several months I have invested many hours, along with several faculty members and students, to carefully clarify our values In other words WHAT MATTERS MOST . Stated below are those matters which will guide us and guard us and give us direction as we enable, equip and empower His disciples to make other disciples.
What matters at GBI?
- SCRIPTURE MATTERS: “All Scripture is inspired of God and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” (2 Timothy 3:16)
WHY SCRIPTURE MATTERS: Without compromise or question we recognize and accept the authority of Scripture as inerrant, inspired an infallible. The Word of God is the foundation for all instruction. We are committed to train men and women for Christian ministry and service who worship God, know God’s Word, love God’s people and share God’s message.
2. SALVATION MATTERS “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life!” (John 3:16)
WHY SALVATION MATTERS: After the fall God’s mission and message was to reclaim His creation through His Son. To do this, He sent His Son, Jesus, to rescues us from a life of sin and rebellion toward God. God has revealed His plan of salvation to the world through Jesus Christ, Savior and Lord.
3. SURRENDER MATTERS: “Therefore, I urge you brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is your true and proper worship. “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…”(Romans 12:1, 2).
WHY SURRENDER MATTERS: A life completely devoted to God is essential for Christian ministry. Surrender means living a life under the authority of God in all areas of our lives. We believe this occurs when we submit to the leadership and Lordship of Jesus Christ and the authority of His Word for our lives.
4. STUDENTS MATTER: “So Christ Himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers to equip His people for works of service so that the body of Christ may be built up.” (Ephesians 4:11).
WHY STUDENTS MATTER: Students are the reason GBC exists. We exist to train “disciples who will make disciples.” Therefore, we count it a privilege to walk alongside them, love them, help them, mentor them, support them and encourage them as they develop their understanding of Scripture to discipleothers.
5. STUDIES MATTER: “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:16)
WHY STUDIES MATTER: We believe that the informed disciple will bring glory and honor to the Lord. We are committed to a pursuit of the whole counsel of Scripture to serve as the guide for our lives and the foundation of our faith.
6. SERVICE MATTERS: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations…and surely I am with you always , to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28: 18-20).
WHY SERVICE MATTERS: Our faculty and students are committed to serving the Lord through the local church. Many of them are pastors, associate pastors, youth leaders and teachers as well as key lay-leaders. in the churches they represent. Our program of studies includes a ministry service program that requires student to be involved in ministry, keep a record of it which becomes a part of their permanent transcript and is required for graduation.
7. HOWEVER, JESUS CHRIST MATTERS MOST! “Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him a name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father!” (Philippians 2:9-11).
WHY JESUS CHRIST MATTERS: “So that in everything He might have the preeminence” (Colossians 1:18b.). Jesus Christ is the clearest revelation of God’s love for the world and us as His people. He is the object of our devotion and the motivation for living out our faith.
Pray earnestly with us and for us that our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, will always have His rightful place at the very center of all that we do for Him, with Him, through Him.and because of Him. And to Him be all the glory and honor forever. AMEN!

“The most important lessons I have learned are how to teach others God’s word, how to share my testimony and how to give my love of the Lord to others.”
“I have truly enjoyed my time in this class! It has taught me that, even though we come from different backgrounds, we all believe that Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lords.” – Christy Williams GBC Student
“I have really enjoyed my experience here at GBC. I drove an hour to get here and it has been worth EVERY bit of the drive! Nothing can compare to the learning experience that GBC provides. This is truly THE place to come and learn about God. It is my prayer that God continues to bless this school and its mission.” – Trina W. GBC Student
“I have really enjoyed this class. There was such a diversity that made learning very enjoyable and refreshing. Even as a pastor I was given the opportunity to learn from people I would not have had the opportunity to fellowship with otherwise. I feel that this school is a blessing to this community and the people that we’ve come to know and love.” – Pastor Charles Williams GBC Student
“The class this semester at Guido Bible College has been a real inspiration to me. I enjoyed, and was blessed by the way that Dr. Jeff Rollins presented the lessons. Jeff presented the lessons in way that sets him apart from all other instructors that I’ve had at Guido. The interaction with Jeff and my class mates was remarkable and the lessons were inspiring and informative. The classes and instructors continue to improve each semester since I enrolled at Guido Bible College, I enrolled in January of 2011. Guido Bible College has created an excellent learning environment and I plan to continue studying as long as possible. I personally thank Brother Larry Guido for being so kind hearted and for showing love, kindness, and such great Christian hospitality. May God continue to bless Guido Bible College.” Yours in Christ, Rev. Roy L. Summersett GBC Student
“I began at GBC as a student in 2012 and immediately fell in love with the school…so much so that God opened doors that allowed me to begin working there the very same year! I’m from Metter…and I had no idea what this school had to offer until I made myself walk into the building. It’s a REAL school with REAL classrooms and REAL teachers! You have to come see this place for yourself. I have been to two different colleges in my educational career. One of those was a large University and the other was a smaller Christian College. GBC is on par with both of them and I would recommend it to EVERYONE who is interested in Biblical higher learning!” In Christ, Vic Fordham GBC Alumnus and Faculty Member
Our students have access to the same stellar student services you would expect from any institution of higher learning…computer labs, high speed wireless internet on the entire campus, tutoring and library access just to name a few!
From small groups gathering in living rooms and around kitchen tables, studying God’s Word has always been at the heart of The Guido Evangelistic Association. Although no certificates, diplomas or degrees were awarded, the founder of GEA, Michael A. Guido, D.D. was well known, deeply respected and widely acclaimed for his profound love of the Bible and his ability to make God’s Word easily understood. Whether he was teaching in rural Georgia or leading a study group to the Holy Land, teaching others to reach others was deeply rooted in his ministry.
Guido Bible College was founded in 2010, making the education of ministers and laypersons to serve in and through the local church a primary element of the ministry of GEA. The mission of GBC is “to educate and equip individuals to communicate the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with care, compassion and competence.” Our motto, “Discern, Develop and Disciple” is a summary of all that we are and hope to be wherever God calls us now and in the future. We currently offer three degree programs – the Associate Degree of Biblical Studies and the Bachelor Degree of Biblical Studies and Christian Ministry. The College also offers a Certificate of Biblical Studies. Our curriculum is anchored in the inspired, infallible and inerrant Word of God and every class is dedicated to train students ”to know Him and to make Him known” as true and faithful ministers of His saving grace.
The students, faculty and staff are committed to the established truths of historical evangelicalism and work together to meet the challenges and opportunities of the world today. We believe that our strength as a community of believers and servants is to always have “In Him, Through Him and For Him” as our core strength. Each member of the faculty is a minister of the Gospel, serves in a local church, is qualified academically and has a proven record of being an effective teacher.
We are focused on training the next generation of Sowers!
We have but one passion: That in all things He will have the preeminence!

GBC is a ministry-focused four-year Christian college located on the campus of the Guido Evangelistic Association in Metter, Georgia that is dedicated to training the next generation of Sowers to Discern, Develop and Disciple the world.
The beginning of Guido Bible College had its roots in the early ministry of The Guido Evangelistic Association. Although no certificates, diplomas or degrees were awarded, the founder, Michael A. Guido, D.D., was well-known and deeply-loved for his knowledge of God’s Word and his ability to teach the truths of Scripture in heart-warming and life-changing Bible studies. Traveling throughout the state of Georgia and across America his interpretation of the Bible and explanation of the message and meaning of profound themes and doctrines resulted in a teaching ministry that included radio and television programs as well as numerous publications that covered the globe.
To establish his intense love for the study of God’s Word and sharing His truths the Guido Bible College was founded in 2010. With extensive studies in all areas of knowing, understanding, applying and sharing the message of the Gospel the College is committed to “doing things no other evangelical ministry has ever done to reach individuals who have never been reached before.” This resulted in developing a program of study to train internet evangelists, missionaries and individuals who were interested in reaching those who are looking for hope and salvation that only comes from Jesus Christ.
“I personally needed to teach this class and be a part of this group at this time in my life. It has helped me tremendously.”
– Cyd Pagliarullo, M. Div., Instructor – Revelation and God, Winter 2012
